Women Empowerment Organization, in partnership with Tearfund, under the project “Empowering Women for
Climate Resilience in Dhi Qar”, implemented a roundtable discussion with various stakeholders including
representatives from government departments, civil society organizations, volunteer teams working on climate
change issues, journalists, climate experts, and community leaders. The roundtable discussion aimed to:
● Initiate the co-development process of the Climate Change Advocacy Toolkit through participatory dialogue.
● Assess current advocacy efforts and identify key gaps and limitations in existing approaches.
● Facilitate strategic discussions on enhancing collaboration between civil society and local authorities in addressing climate risks.
● Collect practical recommendations and locally grounded perspectives that will directly inform the content and structure of the advocacy toolkit.
