On December 18th ,2025
Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) successfully organized a participatory roundtable discussion in collaboration with the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) in Erbil under the “Empowering Women for Electoral Participation and Leadership in Erbil and Halabja” project, with funding provided by Women for Women International (WfWI), supported by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). The discussion aimed to establish a monitoring and reporting guideline or protocol to report and address any backlash or abuse directed at female candidates during the election process.
