Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) participated in the “Call to Action Field Implementation – Phase II (CAFI II)” project activities, in partnership with CARE and with support from the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO), through joining the regional meeting held in Amman on 26–27 November, as part of the 16 Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women and Girls campaign.
The meeting, organized by the Arab Women Organization of Jordan, brought together partner organizations from Iraq, Lebanon, and Jordan to strengthen regional coordination, exchange experiences, and highlight the vital role of women’s rights organizations in protecting rights and promoting meaningful participation.
WEO was represented by:

- Ms. Narmin Ahmed – Legal Advisor at WEO
Ms. Suzan Aref delivered a detailed presentation on the CAFI project in Iraq, outlining key achievements and major challenges, and participated in a panel discussion titled “Alliances in Times of Crisis.”
Meanwhile, Ms. Narmin Ahmed joined a panel discussion on “Funding Barriers for Civil Society Organizations,” shedding light on the challenges local organizations face in securing sustainable resources.
