Within the “Tabayi” project, Women Empowerment Organization in Erbil, in partnership with the Mensen met een Missie organization, and in coordination with the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in the Kurdistan Regional Government, held a Zoom meeting with a group of religious leaders from Erbil, Dohuk, Sulaymaniyah and Kirkuk on 5th August 2021.
The meeting shed light on the outcomes of the first workshop that was organized on July 4-5, 2021 in Erbil on human rights and women rights in the Kurdistan Region and the role of religious institutions and leaders in combating violence against women. At the end of the meeting, a number of recommendations and were developed for the second workshop, which will be held in the mid of August 2021.
