Women Empowerment Organization, in cooperation with Internews, has virtually organized the 2nd steering committee of the Open Iraqi Initiative project yesterday, August 18, 2021, on gender-responsive budgeting and enhancing the role of women in decision-making mechanisms.
It is worth mentioning that the covered topic was addressed as the following:
• Discussing the recommendations draft that was conducted from the two previous workshops held last June.
• Develop a plan dedicated to submitting these recommendations to the relevant higher authorities in this regard.
• Determining the date of the next steering committee meeting to be held in early September.
We were pleased with the presence of the honorable members of the committee, and we appreciate their opinions and valuable advice that majorly serve and impact the topic.
