Women Empowerment Organization in collaboration with Save the Children Organization held the opening ceremony of Sharabot Primary School in Kasnazan district. The ceremony was a presentation of the work and activities carried out for Sharabot Primary School under the entitle of Provision of equitable access to safe education for Refugees, IDPs, and host community children in Erbil governorate" It was implemented by Women Empowerment Organization in coordination with Save the Children Organization and funded by PPL.
The first activity of the project consisted of renovating 3 schools in Erbil province: Sarkaday Primary School in Bahrka District, Belani Primary School in Qushtapa District, and Sharabot Primary School in Kasnazan District. to help children with disabilities have access to use WASH facilities. In addition to renovating classrooms and fixing electrical problems in schools, at the end of the project, three caravans were provided for classrooms.
The second activity of the project was to conduct catch-up and remedial classes for Host communities, Refugees, and IDPs students, at Bahrka primary school in Bahrka district, Qamishlo kindergarten in Qushtapa camp, and Barzani II school in Bahrka camp.
