Women Empowerment Organization (WEO), in partnership with CARE Iraq and Welthungerhilfe, held the project’s closing event for the “Growing Stronger Advancing Climate Smart Agriculture for Resilient and Inclusive Communities in Dhi Qar.” The event was attended by institutional stakeholders, led by the Governor of Dhi Qar, Mr. Haitham Al-Hamdani, alongside representatives from the Directorate of Environment, the Directorate of Agriculture, and the Women’s Affairs Department of Dhi Qar Governorate, in addition to several relevant entities and Civil Society Organizations.The event featured a presentation of the project’s key achievements in promoting climate-smart agriculture and supporting targeted women and men farmers to build more sustainable livelihoods and strengthen their ability to adapt to climate change. It also highlighted the challenges encountered during implementation and the lessons learned that can inform similar future initiatives. The event concluded with the presentation of appreciation to the institutions and partners who contributed to the success of the project, in recognition of their role and collaboration in supporting its objectives and achieving tangible results on the ground.
