On September 2nd,2025
Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) successfully organized a town hall meeting and dialogue session in
Halabja under the “Empowering Women for Electoral Participation and Leadership in Erbil and Halabja” project,
with funding provided by Women for Women International (WfWI), supported by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth
and Development Office (FCDO). The meeting focused on advocating the importance of women’s participation in
electoral processes and involvement in decision-making. Over 50 participants attended the meeting from local
stakeholders and civil society organizations working on women's electoral processes.
