On October 30, 2024, a representative from Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) participated in a dialogue session on combating violence against women and girls. This event was organized by the Women, Family, and Children's Department at the Nineveh Governorate, and was attended by both international and local organizations. The discussions focused on addressing violence against women and girls, with the aim of developing a strategic plan and establishing subgroups dedicated to combating this issue. Additional sessions and a closing conference are planned for the future, during which recommendations will be submitted to the relevant higher authorities.
