Women Empowerment Organization actively participated in a significant meeting hosted by Women Empowerment Department at #Nineveh Governorate Diwan, led by Mrs. Rafia Muhammad Saeed, the Department's Director. The meeting provided an opportunity for everyone working in the field of violence against women to connect and share.
Each organization had the chance to introduce itself and shed light on the valuable services offered in and around Mosul. We discussed the duration of our impactful projects and the specific target groups we aim to empower.
Our dedicated social researcher, Mrs. "Angham," represented Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) explained the services currently provided in the offices of Mosul and Tal Afar, such as legal advice, legal representation and psychological awareness services within the Women's Voice and Leadership Project in the Middle East - Iraq supported by the Canadian government and Oxfam - Iraq, and finally asked the organizations to advertise and promote the activities of the two centers to serve the largest number of women and expand the horizons of future cooperation to improve services and coordinate positions with government agencies concerned with women's affairs in Iraq.
