The Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy and Women Empowerment Organization are implementing a project on Democracy Education For Youth in Iraq supported by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Baghdad. The objective of the school is to provide young men and women with the knowledge and skills to be able to participate in rebuilding democracy process in Iraq.
The project targets 25 female/male youth from different backgrounds all over Iraq and they will gather for various session trainings/workshops on how to engage and have a better understanding on the democracy process in Iraq. The project focuses on developing the capacity of the participants and increase their knowledge on (democracy system in Iraq and other countries in the region, effective communication, principles of institutional organization, rights & freedom, increasing awareness on democratic values, and forming thematic coalitions to push for reform and policy changes towards inclusive democracy).
