Women Empowerment Organization is an independent non-governmental women-led organization concerned with women's issues. WEO was founded in 2004 and registered in Iraq (and the Kurdistan Region - Iraq). It dedicates its work to empowering women socially, economically, and politically. The organization seeks to enhance the role of women, contribute to combating all forms of violence against them, and advocate for the development of policies and reform that support equality and justice for women. The organization is committed to providing its services in the sectors of protection, livelihoods, advocacy, and humanitarian affairs by providing a comprehensive range of services, including individual and institutional capacity development for a comprehensive approach and achieving the goals of sustainable peace and security.
